Whether visiting Lisbon for a week or staying a few months, there’s always time to grab a coffee at a cool place with your friends!
We leave with a few suggestions of cool places to hang out in Lisbon
This café is just around the corner from Castelo Sao Jorge, with breathtaking views along the way. Its name relates to the oldest tram in Lisbon – the number 28.
The café is situated on the corner of a quaint street and from the outside does not appear to be any different from your ordinary café. However, when inside it is actually decorated as though it is a tram, with its name relating to the oldest tram in Lisbon – the number 28.
The décor of the café is very sweet and different to what is expected. The food on offer seems to be based more around lunchtime meals. Between hamburgers, sandwiches, traditional Portuguese cakes, the prices are relatively cheap, with cocktails for just 5€!
This is a chain of cafés, one in Chiado, one in El Corte Ingles and one in LX Factory. This café is known for only serving chocolate cake, with a wide range of different soft and hot drinks. Besides this ridiculously delicious cake, this coffee shop is a good place to do work or just chill with your friends.
We know we already mentioned this bar on the article about bars! However, it’s always worth to add it to any list!
It was previously a brothel, and while walking up the stairs to the bar it can be slightly confusing as to whether you are in the right place.
However, once inside it is beautifully decorated and during the early evening, so you can enjoy the inside with your friends to have a cocktail and chat.
Later on, the bar becomes more lively and there is often a DJ and live music with people dancing
It is definitely worth going there to enjoy the atmosphere and see the décor.
The riverside is a great place to chill with friends, with a beautiful view of the 25th April Bridge (Ponte de 25 de Abril) and the area on the other side of the river – Almada.
Not only this but the smell makes it feel as though you are by the sea, as the water is salt water.
There are many kiosks throughout the riverside where you can buy a beer or a cocktail, one of which has deck chairs, so you can sunbathe by the river while enjoying a cool beverage.
