Lisbon’s bars and rooftops are a great part of its culture, so as there’s so many we made a little selection of the very best just for you!
The whole journey starts with trying to find this bar, as the only sign in the entrance is a huge red frog. The bar has a mysterious look with the classical decoration and the soft lighting and then the staff that welcomed us was really nice. Choosing a cocktail will be the real deal. The menu includes cocktails with all kind of flavors, from goat cheese to seaweed, yet all fantastic and really well prepared. The bartenders have such a technique that is fun and worth watching!

Lost in is definitely a singular place. One has to go through a short tunnel to get there, since it’s located in a very reserved and quiet corner. It is a place with lots of natural lighting and it feels very ‘zen’ with the Hindu details that really give the space an immense grace. It was so nice to sit down and have a beer with a panoramic view of Lisbon. We tried the fresh pineapple juice with mint and it was delicious! It is perfect for a drink with friends or even a romantic date.
Adress: Rua Dom Pedro V, 56 D, Principe Real, Lisboa 1250-094
Average Cost: 2€ for a beer
This rooftop is so interesting and tricky it was to find. You have to open a door at the entrance of the car park and take the elevator, which is full of grafitis and stickers, and go up to the 6th floor. The venue is very urban decorated, and definitely one of the best views of Lisbon. It’s beautiful to see the sun dawning with those stunning views, good music, and a drink. Tip: ask for the specialty of the house, Park Patron cocktail, with tequila, red fruits, and peppermint, totally recommendable!

This bar is located in LX Factory, a hipster and urban concept area full of cafés, bars, restaurants, and shops concentrated in one street located in Alcantara. The whole street is funk and fun itself, with some street art as well, very worth visiting.
Rio Maravilha is one of the ‘in’ places in Lisbon, and perfect to see the sunset as its a restaurant with a rooftop. If you think the venue looked very fancy, full of different colors and furniture in the different rooms, think again. It’s often full of young people, so the whole place looks very fun and cheerful. The views are also incredible – You can see the 25th of April bridge and there is a really cool and funky sculpture of women facing the Cristo Rei. The interior is also very interesting, with diversified spaces. In one of the corners, the psychedelic lights make space even more extravagant and striking. It is a must see!
Adress: LX Factory, Rua Rodrigues Faria, 103, Entrada 3, Piso 4
Average cost: 8€ per cocktail
Well, that is undoubtedly different from the concept that people normally have about a restaurant/bar. It is very close to LX factory. In fact, you can actually see it from the rooftop of Rio Maravilha. It’s where the Carris Museum is. It can take you a little while to find it but it was totally worth getting there and have the experience of having lunch inside a bus! There were several options on the menu, including some vegan meals (so yummy!).
Adress: Museu da Carris, Rua 1º de Maio nº 103
Alcántara, Lisboa 1300-472
Average cost: 1,50€ approx. for a beer
One of the funnest places of Lisbon’s nightlife ! The entrance is quite discrete and then you go in and everything about it is so exotic! It’s one of the most different and interesting bars: A caffe and also club with lots of history. The burlesque and historical decoration really remind a cabaret and inside, you can find different ambiances as you mingle around it. You really have a trigger to explore the different rooms. Some are cozy with comfortable sofas where you can chill with a nice cocktail and then move to the dancefloor that has a little stage with a DJ playing some ‘drumanbass’ mixed with jazz and soul music. Worth it, we recommend it 100%.
Adress: Rua do Atecrim, 19
