Description

Looking to discover the best of Lisbon on foot? This is the tour for you.

Starting at the Calceteiro statue in Restauradores , your local guide leads you through 7 of Lisbon’s top landmarks The historic Igreja de São Domingos, the Teatro Nacional Dona Maria II, the Church of St. Anthony, Lisbon’s beloved saint, the walls of Castelo de São Jorge, and the area around Lisbon Cathedral — before entering Alfama, one of the city’s oldest and most picturesque districts.

Remarkably, Alfama survived the 1755 earthquake, preserving its quaint, familial charm. Stroll through its steep, winding alleys, adorned with beautiful azulejos, and take in breathtaking views of terracotta roofs and the Tagus River. Experience the aromas of traditional Portuguese cuisine, the echoes of Fado tunes, and the chatter of elderly locals, one of the most authentic neighbourhoods in the city.

You’ll enjoy a traditional Pastel de Nata en route, with an optional (extra-cost) Ginjinha tasting for those wanting a taste of Lisbon’s famous cherry liqueur.

The tour continues to Miradouro de Santa Luzia, before building to its grand finale at Miradouro das Portas do Sol , one of Lisbon’s most breathtaking viewpoints over the city and the river.
