There is something about watching the sunset in Lisbon that just hits differently. No matter how busy the day has been, the city seems to slow down as the sun starts to set. I love wandering up to different viewpoints, miradouros or finding a quiet spot by the riverside. The city is truly full of incredible places to watch the sunset, each of them offering its own unique view. So here are my go-to spots for watching the sunset in Lisbon:
Lisbon Boat Party
The best combination of sunset, party and meeting new friends. Enjoy the sunset on a boat in the Tagus river while you dance and listen to the DJ playing.

Jardim do Rio
To enjoy it as a local, pack a picnic, bring some snacks and drinks and then head to Jardim do Rio, it gives you the best sunset in the city.

Miradouros in the city
In the heart of the city there are, Miradouro de Santa Catarina, Miradouro da Graça, Miradouro da Senhora do Monte & Miradouro de Santa Luzia.

By the riverside
Once in a while it is a market close to the Cais do sodre train station. This is a perfect way to experience the sunset while enjoying some local food and drinks.

Boca do inferno – My absolute favorite
For something truly unforgettable, take a short trip to Cascais and visit the Boca do Inferno, arguably the very best sunset view of them all.
